I'm such a confused little girl

I can taste summer.

I hate when people write like there's a thesaurus sitting next to them. Last I checked, the more big and fancy and intelligent-sounding words you use, the dumber you look. But, hey, that's just me, I guess.
I'm aware that this blog is fairly placid* and that I often write in it because I'm bored, considering I usually forget I even have a blog. I think I just like complaining and thinking about the off chance that maybe someone will read it and and think, "Wow, so true." or "Wow...die in a fire." Either way I think I have done my job correctly.

*Denotes a silly dumb stupid word, don't even know if I used it right

And I thought, "How cool would it be if I took concert pictures with my Holga? Since I have really high speed film they'll probably turn out and it'll be really funky fresh!"
Well the back of my Holga kept FALLING OFF and I guess that completely exposed a lot of the film so I pretty much only got five pictures out of it. And I only liked three. What a waste of over $11.

Anyone ever notice how embarrassingly self involved blogs are? I realize that this is pretty ironic considering I'm writing it on a blog ALL ABOUT ME that basically no one else reads. But, come to think of it, most of the internet is like that. Twitter updates all of your adoring fans about what you ate for breakfast, Formspring is a tool for all of your admirers to anonymously gush over you, and - let's be honest - people primarily use Facebook for updating their profile pictures and adding quirky things to their "Info" boxes in vain hope that it shows up on their secret crush's feed. There are plenty of other things, too, but I can't think of them. So let's just say the internet is a big showcase for how awesome you are. And before you (yes, you, nonexistent reader) call me a hypocrite, I'm self-aware. I have a Formspring and a Facebook, and a goddamn blog nobody reads (Twitter's too insufferable and lingo-y and confusing for me). Wanna know why I have those things? Because I care about what people think of me. Not as much as some people I know, but I'm curious to hear Anonymous' unconstrained, poorly-typed opinion of me. And I want to show certain people that YES! WE HAVE SO MUCH IN COMMON!! PLEASE SPARE ME A PASSING GLANCE!! WE COULD BE LOVERS!!!!!!
But at least I can admit it. That's the first step.

Can you believe the male singer in this band used to sing in Ima Robot? If you go back and listen to Ima Robot (my FAVORITE band in eighth grade, haha) it sounds NOTHING alike. Weird. He grew a beard and all of the sudden he's a new person.

This is a good party song because it has an awesome beat. It's just really fun, whenever I listen to it I smile 'cause it makes me want to dance and be awkward.
Another Sunny Day - Belle & Sebastian
I like this song, I like Belle & Sebastian. I like that their music has a 60s-throwback feel to it. I also like that they're Scottish.
Lover's Spit - Broken Social Scene
This song has gross lyrics, to be honest, but I do like the piano. It's pretty if you don't pay attention to the words.
Lover's Carvings - Bibio
This song is pretty different than that other one even though they both have Lover in their title. This one has a very pretty and relaxing one-and-a-half minute long guitar intro. It's so beautiful!
Superstar - Sonic Youth
I guess I just like Sonic Youth and this song. I'm so predictable.

This is the car I want when I get my license:


Let me describe it to you. It's an evergreen 1998 Saab 900 convertible priced at five and a half thousand with pretty good mileage. It has a Guster bumper sticker on it. I saw it in real life and it is just as gorgeous. It's not as fancy as Sarah's (I love that car...so awesome. I love Saabs) but the fact it's a convertible makes up for that. I think it's just the perfect car for me.

Someone just posted "ppl can go die fuck love I always get hurt I'm sooo through" as their Facebook status. Couldn't agree more, Jay Kennedy. Love stinks, yeah yeah. Just kidding, I don't know what love is. But I want to. And I want you to shoooooow me.
